Alberta: Tuesday May 17, 2011 på Scandinavian Centre, 739 20 Ave NW. Dørene åpner kl. 16:30 og toget starter kl. 17:00 etterfulgt av grilling kl. 18.00.
Etter grillingen blir det allsang i ledelse av the Scandinavian Centre Choir.
Billettpris: Voksen $15, Barn (14-18) $10, under 14 gratis, eller familiebillett $40

Nova Scotia: Steinar Engeset of the Royal Norwegian Consulate og Knut Lonningdal fra the Scandinavian Society of Nova Scotia inviterer deg og din familie til å feire Norges nasjonaldag 17. mai.
Dato og tid: Søndag, 15. mai kl. 12:30
Hvor :Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. “Parks Canada Room” 68 Bluenose Drive, Lunenburg,  NS  B0J 2C0
Program: Flower laying ceremony at the Cenotaph at 12:30pm. Followed by Procession from Cenotaph to the Fisheries Museum.
Speeches, followed by food & games for children at 1:30pm
A simple lunch of hotdogs, punch, tea, coffee and cake for the kids will be served.  In true tradition we will drink a toast to the Queen of Canada and the King of Norway, arrange games for the children and most important, spend time together.
We are asking $5.00 per adult (children 12 and under are free) in order to pay for the food.  If you are planning to attend, please call one of the contacts below by May 10th (We do want to make sure we have enough food!)

Victoria: The Sons of Norway, Eidsvold Lodge #7-53 will be holding their 17. mai celebrations on Saturday, May 14th.  They will have a parade from Higgins Park at 6 PM with a program at Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue to commence at 6:30 pm.  Admission is by donation.  You may view their information on the event under “Upcoming Events” on their website:  http://www.eidsvoldsofn.com

Vancouver: On Sunday, May 15, Sons of Norway Sleipner Lodge holds a family event at the Scandinavian Community Centre in Burnaby http://scandinaviancentre.org/events-calendar/?month=may&yr=2011

It starts around 11 am:  there is a mini parade around the field, smorbrod for sale, usually the choir sings and there is the speech of the day given from the outside deck if the weather is good, inside if raining.

There is no fee, but there is a charge for food.

On May 17, Norwegian House Society holds a dinner/dance with guest speaker at the Scandinavian Community Centre from 5 pm to Midnight.  Tickets are $35 each and need to be purchased in advance.  Please contact Elizabeth Norris at: elizabethnorris2@gmail.com

There is limited bus access to the Scandinavian Centre:  what some people do is take the Skytrain and then a taxi.

Quebec: THE NORWEGIAN CLUB OF MONTREAL invites young and old to its annual MAY 17TH CELEBRATIONS AT THE NORWEGIAN CHURCH AND CULTURAL CENTRE
Saturday, May 14, 2011 – 11:00 a.m.
Come join us as we launch the 2011 Norwegian national day celebrations with a children’s party at the Norwegian Church and Cultural Centre.  Children of all ages (0-99) are welcome!
There will be a parade and games for young and old (potato races, sack races, a tug or war and more…) Afterwards, we’ll serve sausages, donuts, ice cream, soft drinks,  and coffee. 
No reservations are necessary. While the Norwegian Club subsidizes the event, donations will be gratefully accepted.
Bring your smiles, your Norwegian flags, and something to sit on (blanket or folding chairs). And if you have a Norwegian costume, don’t forget to wear it.
